A new schedule of family entertainment has been released by the Mairie in Monaco!
After a couple of previous lackluster summers due to the Covid19 pandemic, the Principality of Monaco is back on track with a new list of activities for summer 2022.
To start, Place Gastaud will play host to several musical events this season. Every Wednesday from July 6th and for the following eight weeks entertainment can be found on the square with concerts for people of all ages. Here, one can capture the music of jazz, gospel, and blues that will take place for adults, while four kids' shows, each lasting 45 minutes to an hour will also take place.
The U Sciaratu carnival will take begin on July 8th, this year with an African theme. Various parades, floats, and musical troupes will transform the Principality. Other activities, organized at the same time, include the installation of a make-up stand on the Place de Mairie as well as a workshop of giant bubbles and balloon sculptures in the Allée St Jean Paul II. Each day will end with a ball hosted by a DJ between the hours of 10 pm and midnight.
From July 14th to August 21st, a variety of activities will be available in Port Hercule on Quai Albert 1er. For those into race cars, the Crazy Kart track will be set up for children aged three and up. This is an inflatable attraction giving kids a chance to learn about karting and electric motorbikes.
On the north side of the Quai, a basketball court will be set up for those looking to shoot some hoops. And a green roof will be created to give everyone a break from the sun with a chalet-style building set up for those looking for a cool beverage and a way to relax from the heat.
This year, the fireworks are back with one exception. The Art-en-Ciel Fireworks Competition, a mainstay for nearly 55 years, has been discontinued due to its environmental impact.
There will still be two pyrotechnic displays for audiences though. The first display will be on July 30th on the Quai from 10 pm and will be followed by an evening of dance and fun with a live DJ. The second event comes on August 13th with a disco dance and party with the group High Energy.
As always, there are the beach, top restaurants, luxury shopping, museums, and art galleries to discover in Monaco.
